Avigan:- It is an influenza antiviral drug and about to enter third phase trial for COVID-19 patients. The significant factor is the drug prevent virus in making replica when it infects the body and may be effective in treating COVID-19. The drug is also known as ‘Favipiravir’ and developed by Japanese company Fujifilm Toyama Chemical Company, has emerged as a potential drug to treat patients infected with the fatal Corona virus.
In view of COVID-19 It is working at large in Asian continent like China, Japan and Korean countries and most significant point is Chinese government researchers said they found this antiviral drug effective in treating Corona virus patients, and added that they would promote the use of the drug.
South Korea is raising objection because they found a number of side effects in using of the drug.
